Trendcology Clinic is a hair and scalp consultation and treatment service. Founded by Hatim Shweiki in 1994. Hatim believes everyone is entitled to the
best treatment possible. Hatim has studied all aspects of “Trichology”. The health of hair and scalp and the science of all hair types, Asian, Africano and Caucassion. An expert in hair loss and alternative hair replacement treatments such as hair transplant, wigs and hair systems, working with The Trichological Society in London.

We offer a unique service, dealing with all aspects relating to the hair and scalp, treating clients who suffer from hair loss, thinning hair and scalp diseases. Hatim is aware of the psychological effects of hair loss and scalp issues and aims to create a comfortable, friendly and entirely private environment where clients can feel very much at ease throughout their entire consultation and treatment.

We offer nutritional supplements and a variety of products to encourage hair growth, laser hair treatment and a full array of all the latest wigs and hairpieces (over fifty thousand) with a personalised order for each client following consultation.

From 28 May 2022, you can get up to €500 for one hair replacement item such as a hairpiece or wig, in each calendar year. It does not cover surgical or topical treatments.

• Hair loss must be from a disease or treatment of a disease such as cancer or alopecia. The types of alopecia covered are:
• Alopecia areata (which includes alopecia totalis or universalis, diffuse alopecia areata, alopecia ophiasis)
• Primary scarring alopecias (cicatricial alopecias)
• Frontal fibrosing alopecia and lichen planopilaris (scarring alopecia)
• Chemotherapy induced alopecia (anagen effluvium)
• Alopecia resulting from surgery or trauma, including burns

Treatment Benefit is a scheme run by the Department of Social Protection (DSP) to provide a limited financial contribution towards Hairpieces and Wig Services.
